Red Cave

Here’s a sneak peak at my contribution to 10thology , a collection of stories by Welsh comic creators and creators who live and/or work in Wales.  Having lived this side of the bridge on and off for 18 years I qualify under the second criteria.

The story is set in Llanfairpwllgwyngyllgogerychwyrndrobwllllantysiliogogogoch and was partially inspired by the song Red Cave by Yeasayer. Art is from my good friend, the extremely talented Stu Art one half of Cardiff indie powerhouse Monkeys with Machineguns.   And there’s some other stellar talent on board too, you can see more preview art here.

The book features the following stories:

The Knights of Craig Y Ddinas: Words Stu.Art Art Mike Collins Colours Kris Carter

Dai Hard: Words rich McAuliffe Art Jenny Clemments

Devoloution: Words Chris Lynch Art Patrick Goddard, Dan Harris, Mark Smith, Craig Lewis & Stu.Art

The Valley of the Gwadni: Si Wyatt

Humour Rights: Steve Morris

The Hidden Flame Dave Clifford & Jamie Lambert

Project Phoenix: Terry Cooper

Mallt Y Nos: Words Chris Lynch Art Stu.Art

The Edge of World: Words Jon Rennie Art Dave Young & Lucy Artis

The Valley of the Gwadni: Si Wyatt

Red Cave: Words Pete Rogers Art Stu.Art

Plus exclusive pin-up by Dylan Teague.

10thology exclusively launches at CICE, Cardiff International Comic Expo, at the end of the month before going on general release.   Most of the creative team will be on hand so swing by and pick up your signed copy.

Fantastic Four

Last year I worked on a Fantastic Four pitch for Marvel Heroes at Panini titled “Seeing Double”.   Seeing as I’ve been terrible at blogging regularly I thought I’d share one of the sample pages I included in the pitch.  Pencils and inks by fellow QPAW! One to Watch Jake Bilbao (Wolverine) and coloured by Yel Zamor (Hero 9-5, The Interactives).
